Flea and Tick Control Service

How much is it?

For average sized houses and yards we do a full flea treatment that includes the inside and outside for $195+tax. This treatment includes a 3 month warranty, provided you treat the pets with a veterinarian-prescribed treatment.  We find that Comfortis works best.

The treated areas in the back yard also include protection from basic pests and fire ants.

An outside only treatment is $125+tax and an inside only treatment is $125+tax.  We find that both areas need to be treated for effective control, therefore these treatments only include a 1 month warranty.

What is included in the warranty?

This service should achieve a 100% reduction in fleas for 3 months.  We will return, for no additional charge, if those results are not achieved.  Keep in mind that there will be a resurgence in flea activity around 14 days after treatment.  If you follow the post-treatment instructions, this resurgence will vanish in about 7 more days.

Do I need to be home?

We will need access to the inside of the house for indoor treatments.  Also, we would like you to point out where pets hang out so we don’t miss anything.

How does it work?

We use 3 insecticide classes to quickly kill adult fleas and stop larvae from developing.  All insecticides we use will be used according to label directions.  We treat nearly all surfaces inside except beds or eating surfaces.  There will not be any smell from the treatment after about an hour.

How long does it take?

The treatment usually takes about an hour.

How do I prepare for service?

Note: ANY cleaning/replacement of the carpet/flooring MUST BE DONE BEFORE the technician shows up. This will remove and damper the effects of the insecticide and will make the treatment useless.

For us to be able to do the service, all preparation procedures must be followed exactly.  We will not treat if they are not done. All people and pets must leave the premises and remain out of the treated area for at least one hour after treatment.

Bedding should be stripped from all beds in all bedrooms on the day of the treatment. This bedding must be washed and dried before it can be placed back on the beds.  This includes pet bedding.

All clutter must be cleared from the floor and from the yard.  The yard must be mowed.  Sprinklers must be off and outside workers can not be present during the treatment.

Fleas have a life cycle similar to butterflies: egg, larvae, pupae, adult.  We kill the adults and larvae with our treatment.  The pupae, however, are resistant to insecticide.  That means that about 2 weeks after treatment, they will mature and hatch in response to vibration.  The appearance is that there is a resurgence.  Vacuuming every couple of days for 2 weeks will stop this from happening.

How do I pay?

You will get an invoice by email immediately after service.  You can pay online using a link in the email or you can pay the Technician with a credit card or check.   We can securely store your credit card information for future services.
