Geckos and Lizards

We can't kill geckos or lizards.  Insecticide applied at rates to kill insects won't harm geckos or lizards. Like people, they have a closed circulatory system and a blood/brain barrier which protects them from insecticide. We see geckos and lizards in large numbers all year even at homes we spray monthly for mosquitoes.

The best you can do to control geckos is sticky traps inside to capture the occasional invaders. You could do sticky traps outside, but that's just being mean.

Geckos and lizards are beneficial.  They eat insects.  Regular pest control does reduce the amount of food available for them, but they will have plenty of food from flying insects and those just stumbling up from surrounding areas.
