Turf Pest Services
What pests are included?
Aphids, Chinch Bugs, and Grubs are included. They represent the top three lawn and ornamental pests that we encounter in Texas. They can devastate a home’s lawn, trees, and shrubs if they are allowed to proliferate. You’ve put great care into creating a beautiful, healthy landscape for your home – let us protect it with this triple-threat eliminating program!

How can I tell if I have chinch bugs, aphids, or grubs?
Chinch bugs are black and in large numbers throughout the yard. During the summer they will also kill your grass.
Aphids cause black sooty mold to form on your plants and grass.
If you have a lot of June bugs then you have grubs in your lawn.
How much is it?
For average sized yards we make two visits per year to tread turf, shrubs and trees for $89+tax per visit. First we will treat your trees and shrubs in May, when aphid pressure is at its highest. Then we will target grub worms and chinch bugs in your turf in July.
What is included in the warranty?
This service should achieve a 90% reduction in these pests for the full year. We will return between visits, for no additional charge, if those results are not achieved. Keep in mind that it may take up to 14 days after treatment to reach the desired level of control. Also, this treatment will not remove any sooty mold that has already formed on the trees. Starting the service in May will stop the sooty mold from forming on trees like Crepe Myrtles.
Do I need to be home?
You do not need to be home for this service.
How does it work?
As with some of our other services, we use backpack mist blowers to make effective applications with less insecticide. Our first treatment occurs in the aphid-rich month of May and uses the most effective aphidicide on the market, imidicloprid, to keep your trees and shrubs safe from aphids. Our second treatment targets grub worms and chinch bugs in your lawn with a combination insecticide of both imidicloprid and pyrethroid that produces very rapid results. Because they are timed based on the insects’ lifecycles these two treatments will protect your landscaping all year long.
How long does it take?
The treatment usually takes 30 - 45 minutes.
How do I prepare for service?
For us to be able to do the service, please make sure of the following:
- your lawn has been recently mowed
- all sprinklers are off during and for at least 1 hour after the service
- all outside pets are put up
- outside clutter is picked up
- There are no outside workers present
- After the service, pets need to stay off the treated areas and people need to wear shoes in the treated areas for about 15 minutes or until the spray is dry.
How do I pay?
You will get an invoice by email immediately after service. You can pay online using a link in the email or you can pay the Technician with a credit card or check. We can securely store your credit card information for future services.
