Bed Bugs

To determine the pricing for bed bug control services, we must perform a detailed inspection.  The cost of the inspection is $125+tax and is deductible from the cost of any bed bug treatment. 

In general, you can expect to pay at least $300 per room.  All rooms must be treated to get control.  This includes the living room.

What is included in the warranty?  

This service should achieve a 100% reduction in bed bugs for 3 months.  We will return, for no additional charge, if those results are not achieved.  Keep in mind that it may take up to 14 days after treatment to eliminate bed bugs from your home.  Also, there are several things that will nullify the warranty: Preparation and bagging procedures are not followed, New or used furniture is introduced into the household without being treated, We determine that an infestation is a new infestation caused by people visiting other infested locations.

Do I need to be home?  

We will need access to the inside of the house for the inspection.  Also, we would like you to point out where the problems are, so we can more quickly assess the treatment needs.

How does it work?

All insecticides we use will be used according to label directions

In preparation for service, you will need to bag all non-sprayable items as detailed below.  We treat those items using a vapor strip insecticide.

In addition to the vapor strips, we use a combination of different insecticides to gain control.  We use at least 3 different insecticide classes to overcome any insecticide resistance that the bed bugs may have. We will treat virtually all cracks, crevices and surfaces.  We don’t treat pillows, table surfaces or anywhere the insecticide label does not allow.

There will not be any smell from the treatment after about an hour.  The vapor strips do have a slight odor, but will not be detectable outside the bags or on any of the items in the bag once they are removed.

We will follow up after 10 to 14 days to place monitors in each room.  

How long does it take?  

The initial bed bug inspection takes around 45 minutes.  The actual bed bug treatment can take up to 8 hours, depending on the number of rooms and beds.

How do I prepare for service?

For us to be able to do the service, all preparation procedures must be followed exactly.  We will not treat if they are not done, All people and pets must leave the premises and remain out of the treated area for at least one hour after treatment.  

All bedding should be stripped from all beds in all bedrooms on the day of the treatment. This bedding must be washed and dried before it can be placed back on the beds.

Loose items around the bed must be either bagged in plastic garbage bags (do not seal) or placed in totes with lids. We will place a vapor insecticide strip in these bags and totes. We will then close these bags/totes so the vapor will affect any bed bugs that may be on these items. Loose items include books, wall decor (including framed and unframed photos or posters), knick-knacks, toys, trophies, cds, dvds, items in dresser drawers, etc.  These items will need to remain in the bags for 48 hours.

Clothing/plush toys: Clothing and plushies need to be bagged and run through a dryer cycle (10 minutes, at the least)- this kills any eggs that may be on these items. A good way to approach this is to do it in sections: bag everything you will eventually put in the dryer, seal these bags if you do not intend on drying right away. Dry the items as you have time.

Only reintroduce the items to the bedrooms and closets AFTER treatment.

You may leave the articles that cannot be run through the dryer in the closet - your closets will all be treated with a aerosol insecticide that will kill any nymphs and adults left on these items. The more you can eventually dry, the better.

Treat all linens and throws the same way as clothing.
