Dermestid Beetles

Dermestid Beetles are scavengers that feed on dry animal or plant material. They probably all came off of the same food source and shouldn't be a problem again. The food source could have been an old mouse carcass or something similar. They don't feed on anything fresh. They often are pests in insect collections, even.

Another source might be taxidermy.

If dermestid beetles are on some sort of decaying animal material the solution is to remove the material. This isn't always possible since it may be something like a dead mouse hidden in the wall, might not be able to find something inside the wall. In this case, once the animal has completely decomposed, the beetle problem will go away. If the beetles are on some sort of taxidermy or animal fiber clothing, they can be treated by treating the taxidermy, or if the item is small enough, freezing it overnight. Regular pest control will not resolve the problem.
